Hello my loves! The military jacket is one of my favourite jacket styles out there and you can see it trending for over a decade now! Each season a new version of the military jacket is created, anything from bright pink to full mink…name it and it’s done! They can be nonchalant, eccentric, elegant or even sexy. But most of all it has something powerful about it, almost authoritarian and it reminds me of bygone times (19th century anyone? ;)).
The military jacket you can see me wearing is from Dolce&Gabbana, hued in an elegant navy blue and a charming charcoal grey, adorned with bronze buttons, aiguillettes (military cords) and the most delicate chiffon you’ll ever see. If this doesn’t give you Napoleonic vibes, nothing will! Even better is that this fabulous piece of outerwear will always make you stand out when wearing it! Just throw it over any outfit and you’re ready to go. 🙂To stay in the french mood I paired it up with my paint-splattered charcoal coloured jeans by Chanel. These incredible jeans can be worn with simply anything, from a tweed jacket to a silk blazer, anything works. And I love the fact that the cut is a little wider towards the ankles, perfect for the current streetstyle scene! On top of that I’m wearing a floral printed shirt from Zara, a piece that’s able to bring spring back into your life (C’mon springtime, where are you?).Because one piece of Chanel wasn’t enough, I opted for yet another piece by this magnificent brand: the classic cashmere scarf (Thé must-have for every fashionista!). This version is a soft black with gold thread embroidery and monogrammed with CC’s & camelia’s. I have to agree with the fact that it’s an eyecatcher on its own, Although I believe it’s also a great addition to the jacket itself! For my passion of mixing up styles I glided into my blue Oxfords from Nyon. The two hues of blue compliment the outfit even more and it feels like walking on air when wearing these. As a finishing touch I opted for a pair of coffee cup printed socks. That’s what makes fashion so much fun, creating and playing with different types of prints!
Enjoy your day, XOXO, Gianni
